The Seat
The deployer's seat is the set of powers HyperCore gives to whoever ran the issuer ceremony. Every Rite ends with three irreversible locks that leave the seat empty.
Fee share set to zero. Freeze revoked. Supply sealed.
Nobody keeps the seat. The three locks are required by verification before settlement, so a listed Pot always has all three.
The three locks
Deployer fee share set to 0%
The deployer receives a share of the pair's trading fees. It defaults to 100%. What is not paid to the deployer is burned.
Under Hyperliquid's rules, setDeployerTradingFeeShare can be resent only if the share does not increase. Once it is 0%, it can never be raised again. On testnet, MockCoreState.setDeployerFeeShare reverts with FeeShareIncrease for any higher value.
Proof read on chain: feeShareBps = 0.
Freeze privilege revoked
The deployer can enable a privilege to freeze accounts. Revocation is permanent. On testnet, enableFreezePrivilege reverts with FreezeRevoked after revokeFreezePrivilege, and freezeUser reverts because the privilege is off.
Proof read on chain: freezeRevoked = true.
Genesis and link sealed
Genesis is one-shot, and the link to the deposit wallet is permanent. The whole supply sits at the system address, and the link points to the deposit wallet predicted for the token, its index and the Officiant. HyperCore supply is backed 1:1 by tokens escrowed in that wallet.
Proof read on chain: maxSupply, system-address balance equal to maxSupply, linked contract equal to the predicted wallet.
What the Officiant's key can still do
After the Rite, the key that ran the ceremony remains the deployer of record. It keeps only cosmetic actions that move no value and block nobody. On testnet the mock exposes one: setTokenAnnotation, a description that can be changed at most once per day.
What it can no longer do
| Action | Result after the Rite |
|---|---|
| Raise the fee share | Reverts: the share can only go down, and it is 0 |
| Enable the freeze privilege or freeze an account | Reverts: revoked |
| Run genesis again or mint more | Reverts: one-shot |
| Change the linked contract | Reverts: permanent |
| List again at another price | Reverts: one-shot |
The Seat panel on each listed Pot page reads these values from the simulated HyperCore and shows them next to each lock.
Planned: the contract Seat
A research item would make the deployer a single contract instead of an Officiant key. It depends on an open question and is not live. See Roadmap.
